    California Superior Court Judge Rules on Quackbuster "Credibility" April 23, 2003 - A California Appeals Court, yesterday, April 22, 2003, bludgeoned the National Council Against Health Fraud (NCAHF), and their whole argument about what constitutes good and bad health care. The quackbuster's operating theme, the argument they use against alternative proponents, came under a major American Court's scrutiny.  The Court, basically, in their decision, said the the quackbuster's arguments were hogwash, and they had no business meddling in California's system. The Court also declared that top quackbusters Stephen Barrett (quackwatch.com), and Wallace Sampson MD (Scientific Review of Alternative and Aberrant Medicine)  "were found to be biased and unworthy of credibility."

When young animals were fed cooked and processed foods they initially appeared to be healthy. However, as the animals reached adulthood, they began to age more quickly than normal and also developed chronic degenerative disease symptoms. A control group of animals raised on raw foods aged less quickly and were free of degenerative disease. In nature, we see another example of wild animals eating entirely enzyme rich raw foods being free of the degenerative diseases that afflict humans.

    Organic crops are being polluted with the pollen from gene-altered plants destroying the purity of organic - The Wall Street Journal purchased and tested 20 products with labels that read "Non-GMO" or "GMO-Free." They found that 11 of the products had evidence of some GMOs and another 5 had even higher levels of contamination. Virtually all of the products currently sold that are labeled Non-GMO or GMO-Free are made with organic ingredients. Since organic crops are suppose to be free from genetic engineering, you would think that organic products would be able to safely make the claim of Non-GMO or GMO-Free. Unfortunately, with over 70 million acres of genetically engineered crops planted in the United States, organic crops are being polluted with the pollen from these gene-altered plants destroying the purity of organics.

    Water therapy has been used for centuries to heal the sick Hydro- and hydrothermal therapy are traditional methods of treatment that have been used for the treatment of disease and injury by many cultures, including those of ancient Rome, China, and Japan. Water therapy has been around for centuries. The ancient Greeks took therapeutic baths. Water is an important ingredient in the traditional Chinese and Native American healing systems.

    Perchlorate, the explosive component of rocket and missile fuel, contaminates more than 500 drinking water sources in 20 states, serving well over 20 million people. Among contaminated sources is the Colorado River, which provides drinking water for Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas and other cities. Perchlorate can affect the thyroid gland’s ability to make essential hormones. For fetuses, infants and children, disruptions in thyroid hormone levels can cause lowered IQ, mental retardation, loss of hearing and speech, and motor skill deficits.

    Study: Smallpox immunity remains in body for years after vaccination People vaccinated against smallpox as long as 75 years ago may still retain some immunity to the disease, a new study finds. That means as many as 150 million Americans could already be significantly protected, researchers say. Antibodies to vaccinia, the live virus used in the smallpox vaccine, were present in more than 90% of the 306 people tested, and remained fairly constant whether the participants were vaccinated a year ago or as far back as 1928, says researcher Mark K. Slifka of the Oregon Health and Science University. "From one to 75 years out, the levels were in the same range," he says.

    Vaccinations: All Veterinary Schools in North America Changing Vaccination Protocols Recent editions of the Senior Dogs Project's newsletter have reported on the ever-broadening trend of eliminating vaccinations for adult dogs, except for rabies, where required by state law. We have now had a report that all 27 veterinary schools in North America are in the process of changing their protocols for vaccinating dogs and cats. Here, in a nutshell, are the new guidelines under consideration: "Dogs and cats immune systems mature fully at 6 months. If a modified live virus (MLV) vaccine is given after 6 months of age, it produces immunity, which is good for the life of the pet (i.e., canine distemper, parvo, feline distemper). If another MLV vaccine is given a year later, the antibodies from the first vaccine neutralize the antigens of the second vaccine and there is little or no effect. The titer is not 'boosted' nor are more memory cells induced.

    "Not only are annual boosters for parvo and distemper unnecessary, they subject the pet to potential risks of allergic reactions and immune-mediated hemolytic anemia. There is no scientific documentation to back up label claims for annual administration of MLV vaccines. Puppies receive antibodies through their mothers milk. This natural protection can last 8-14 weeks. Puppies and kittens should NOT be vaccinated at LESS than 8 weeks. Maternal immunity will neutralize the vaccine and little protection (0-38%) will be produced. Vaccination at 6 weeks will, however, delay the timing of the first highly effective vaccine. Vaccinations given 2 weeks apart suppress rather than stimulate the immune system. A series of vaccinations is given starting at 8 weeks and given 3-4 weeks apart up to 16 weeks of age. Another vaccination given sometime after 6 months of age (usually at 1 year 4 months) will provide lifetime immunity." learn more

    EU Calls For Investigation Of Aspartame (Nutrasweet)

    The European Parliament has adopted resolutions in line with its consistent drive to make sure that foodstuffs and drinks consumed in the EU are safe. It has called for an investigation of aspartame (NutraSweet/Equal/Canderel, E951, Spoonful, Benevia, etc.) In a document from the European Parliament it says the justification is that "the use of aspartame increases the exposure to its metabolites methanol/formaldehyde and phenylalanine and is reported to provoke i.a. headaches, nausea and allergic reactions, especially in the case of vulnerable persons. Its widespread use should therefore be re-evaluated by the Commission and the relevant scientific committees, taking into account all available data and respecting the precautionary principle. A historical evaluation is required as there seems to be evidence that original studies did not prove the safety of aspartame."

    It is an endocrine disrupting chemical. It changes the menses triggering infertility. Then if the consumer is off aspartame and gets pregnant she may lose the baby if she gets back on it. As James Bowen, M.D., in Aspartame Murders Infants (www.dorway.com) says: "At every point in the fertility process aspartame destroys, beginning with the gleam in Mom and Pop's eyes: it ruins female sexual response and induces male sexual dysfunction. Beyond this aspartame disrupts fetal development by aborting it or inducing defects. And if a live child is born aspartame may have heinously damaged the DNA of the baby, cursing future generations." The manufacturer and the FDA have steadfastly refused to put a warning on aspartame even though they have full knowledge of how it can destroy the fetus or trigger birth defects. Louis Elsas, M.D., Pediatric Prof, Emory University, genetics testified before Congress on this issue and this is on web along with H. J. Roberts, M.D., position paper admitting that even a man consuming aspartame at conception can cause birth defects in his own child.

    Farewell to Shasta
    On May 12, 2003 Shasta reached the end of her journey among us. She was 12 1/2 years old. I was filled with gratitude for the 10 marvelous years she shared with us in love and respect. She had a wonderful life and it is a miracle that she lived that long. When I adopted her at age two, this poor girl was so sick, emaciated and feeble from an overload of toxins from routine chemical deworming, vaccines and toxic commercial pet food that the vet wanted to euthanize her then. I saved her life with rawfood and homeopathy. I believe Shasta would have lived a much longer life if she had been bred from healthy parents, raised on healthy food, and given natural veterinary care. 

    The same day I said goodbye to Shasta I adopted a splendid 18 month old GSD from the German Shepherd rescue of Los Angeles. I named him Kuuma, an African male name that means "love". He actually looks like he could be Shasta's brother or pup. The only health problem Kuuma has is a hotspot on his left thigh, right were he was vaccinated. Clearly this is a reaction to the toxins injected under his skin in that area. As soon as he came home I gave him a dose of Lyssin 200c to antidote the bad effects of vaccines (available from Dr. Loops' office) and I immediately began to transition him to raw food diet. Later I may also have to give him Thuja and/or Sulphur homeopathic remedies to counteract the bad effects of the other vaccines.

    I introduced Kuuma to raw food gradually and within a week, he was eating 100 % raw.  It is important to introduce raw food gradually to avoid causing diarrhea. Dr. William Pollack, DVM, says diarrhea can be a normal part of transitioning to a healthier diet. Upon switching to a more nutritious diet, physical and behavioral improvements can be dramatic or gradual depending on the state of the animal’s health. With slow transitioning on to the new diet, the pet’s digestive system can acclimate to the higher flow of nourishment. The body will sometimes expel these accumulated poisons during periods of diarrhea, hair loss, scaling of skin. These periods are known as Healing Episodes/Healing Crisis. Though these situations are not necessary , they are not uncommon. The body will cleanse itself of these toxic agents before it can assimilate more healthful nutrients to regain a higher state of balanced health. He's a finicky eater and I explain on my site how I get him to eat his veggies.
